Where we started
Contextra grew out of a simple, repeatable observation: the information that determines whether a conversation succeeds or fails — how someone thinks, what they value, how they prefer to communicate — is publicly available and structurally predictable. DISC behavioral science has been validated across decades of workplace research. The signals are there. Nobody had built the infrastructure to deliver them at the speed and scale that modern sales, HR, and AI workflows demand.
We built that infrastructure. A platform that generates full DISC profiles, background intelligence, communication playbooks, and negotiation strategies for anyone — from a name and a few data points, in under 30 seconds, via API, dashboard, or your AI agent.
We made it API-first because the future of this kind of intelligence is in automated workflows and AI agents, not just dashboards. We added MCP server support because the teams building the next generation of AI sales and HR tools needed personality context to be a native capability, not an afterthought. And we kept pricing usage-based because the seat model was never designed for the way AI agents work.
